ABSTRACTION IN ACTION
A free meditative workshop to encourage play and self expression

Discover through creative improvisation in this community-centered art making workshop. Visual artists Leila Simon Hayes and Joanna Muehleisen guide participants through abstract art practices,using simple exercises in drawing,collage, and remixing.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
• Improvisational art-making
• Support in letting go of perfectionism
• Creating and connecting in community
• Exploring internal experiences through spontaneous creation
This workshop invites you to surrender control and embrace uncertainty. Through gentle, guided exercises, you’ll build confidence and connect to yourself in community.
FREE and open to the public. No experience necessary. All ages and backgrounds welcome. Materials provided.

Hosted at the Jamaica Plain home of interior redesigner Kyle Freeman, treat yourself to an in-studio experience of art and design. Expect delicious artisanal wine, cookies, and an ice cream bar. Bring kids! There will be games and artmaking for folks of all ages.
